From what I've read, the average person should take in about 2000 calories per day. By cutting down even to 1600 you will probably keep loosing weight, just not as fast. Going below 1200 for several months did bad things to my body that 10 years later I'm still dealing with. Patience is a virtue and anything good - including a healthy body - is worth waiting for.
