Hullo luv,
As someone with bp myself, this is a razor's edge I've been walking myself for years. First: Your boss acted in direct violation of the federal American with Diabilities Act. Find a copy of this and know it cold. It's saved me from the same situation on several occasions, to the point where I keep a copy with the sections added in 1996 that pertain directly to discrimination against employees with mental illness in my desk at work. Basically, you can no more be fired for having bp interfere occasionally with your ability to work than a diabetic can be fired for having her illness interfere occasionally with her work. Second, go to the home page of NAMI (of which I'm a member), the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill. The most valuable thing you'll find there is a legal referral service to attorneys in your area familiar with this kind of situation. NAMI has chapters in every state, and in mine, New York, in every county. That's the practical stuff. (((((((tgrsprr)))))) That's the necessary stuff. I hope this works out for you. I'm so sorry you have a boss who's such a sodding wanker. Ta. Cheshire Cat
