Thank You Sooooo Much SeptemberMom and Nina52, I will have to print this page out.
I just needed someone to be honest with me. To help me understand what I've been misunderstanding
I have heard the instructors pass around a few numbers, my hair color is a 6 or 7. Plus one of them came by and said wow your hair is really dark. It's funny cuz I've noticed that my roots are almost black, just for a few milimeters, and than I am a light brunette, with strands of reds, and dark blonde throughout.
I just did a deep protein conditioning tonight. Creme throughout the hair, with a plastic bag, and than added the hair dryer (15 mins). The last one I did was two weeks ago, and they did one two weeks b4 that. (the college) I have def heard of the mayonaise, I'll give that a go. I have also heard of egg whites and olive oil too.
***Your posts really made my day/night***
Ok, I used to use John Frieda's Sun In four years ago, but they discontinued it. Than I dyed my hair at home a dark chocolate brown almost black. For about two years I tried playfully lightening it. By just doing strands at home with bottle dyes. Last January my hair was my own color, and than I dyed the underneath hair and bangs a blonde haha (coppery orangey yellow) :S, I had it corrected at a Salon last March the stylist hit it dead on as Platinum (I was freakin amazed) just the underneath and bangs. She also used a "clear"? dye for all over to make it shinier she said. Weird cuz it kinda turned my natural color a bit of a red, not a total red, but my brown sort of looked auburn. So in between all these times it was quite long than cut just above my shoulders a couple of times, and now growing out quite long. Last summer as the roots began to grow out I used a sun in spray that made it yucky orange red. DUHHHH
So I went into the same stylist but she was at another salon and didn't have the same products, she also told me that she couldn't get it to that white platinum that I liked. It came out the yellowy and slowy turned a dark yellow, it was quite fried. I never used the purple shampoo than. For about 3-4 months.
Oh another thing the instructors always say not to stick me under the heater when my hair is bleaching because that will burn my scalp? The other professional stylist both times last March and September did stick me under a heater while I had been bleached. The first time I was never fried but did receive a rash of some sort, I guess lil pinkish burns all over my scalp.
So in December they corrected the color. Than I went back Feb 2 (the screw up) and than back on Feb.6 much better. But I've decided not to get my whole head done in the next month because I think my hair needs a break. AND I have limited funds, that Clairol purple shampoo kind of cleaned me out. :S It was $45.oo. I was expecting 25 at the max. BUT anyways.
BUT I am really excited to try out the other suggestions. Especially that filler.
