oh i am so sorry for all that you, your son, and your family are gong through right now.  i hope son gets stablilized. must have scared you to death!
as for the pdoc, i'd ask him'/her what position they take on this. it's a good question. if it was for therapy tho i'd think the best thing is for one of you to see another therapist, jme.
