Hey all, I know probably no one here is a doctor, but I was just wondering if any one new of any clear cut, inexpensive way (like not with MRIs and lab tests) to find out if physical ailments were due to psychological conditions.
Here's my situation:
When I found out almost a year ago about my mom's terminal cancer, I developed an eye twitch. It appeared to be worse if I had to read, but would occur randomly as well. Then it subsided after a while.
For the last couple of years I have struggled with numbness/tingling in my extremities, especially if I'm sitting for long periods (like an hour), and more recently I've been getting it when I exercise. I also have sort of an electrical prickly feeling on certain portions of my head and this semester the twitching has come back, but is pretty much diffuse across my body and occurs randomly (although my fingers twitch sometimes when I have to do purposeful work with them, like typing). Occasionally I have deep pain (almost like bone pain). Also, over the past couple of years I have had 5 respiratory infections and multiple UTIs (last semester I had a fever that spiked to 103 on two separate occasions).
I know it's kind of random and I don't really expect a diagnosis. I was just wondering if any one else has experienced similar/extreme physical manifestations purely because of a psychological problem.
