Wow! Yes. All the time. I used to do a thing with a pad and a pen called brainstorming, it help with communication. Now I use the computer.

Sometimes I just type, allowing whatever comes to come out. Then when reading it back I often get some quite useful information.

While post writing, I have managed to get that under control by focussing on the post I’m replying to and working to keep my reply short.

Some other part might ‘pop’ in if I begin to ramble.

That’s the good thing about being on boards like this one, people don’t mind if you wander off topic a bit - it’s kind of expected.
