After finishing partial hospitalization, I'm looking into day treatment programs. Most of the PH enrollees end up going to day treatment.

Medicare won't cover where I went for PH because it's a hospital--they don't cover hospital-based DT. They do--supposedly--cover "freestanding clinic" DT programs. Can't get good coverage policy info on that-HELP! If anyone is well-informed. Community Mental Health Clinic is the formal term used by Medicare, I think.

What I'm running into, aside from Medicare paying is:

A. There really aren’t' that many.
B. The population served is more generally people who are low-functioning (I'm not) as told to me by the PH staff and my T--and it seems to be true for the programs I've talked to.
C. A lot of the stuff out there is DBT-based.

I'm high functioning. I've taken a full=-blow DBT course for something like 6 months in the past and just completed a quick version of it in PH. I don't want to do DBT again. I want process group stuff, some structure, get out of the house for a chunk of time--3/4 hours a day--a few times a week, get support from others and stuff in dealing with some things and some "skills" and maybe T and pdoc referrals.

Are people familiar with Day Treatment and what's to be found in those programs?
