So advice, stories, points of view, anything is welcomed to ease my nerves.

I am from a small town in the south, I grew up here, it is really the only way of life I know well, I have traveled quite a bit so I know what the world is like, but when it comes down to it, I only know how to live in a small town in the South.

In three to four years time (maybe sooner) I will be moving to Boston.
I want a career in publishing, I want more opportunities, I want my future children to have chances at things I never even knew existed, all things, that I will never have here. I can go no further here, so after much thought, research and discussion, I have decided Boston is the best place for me, or outside of Boston, for the career I want it is a well suited. I would be doing graduate work, if I decided on sooner, I will be finishing my bachelor's then graduate work, rest assured if it kills me I will get my masters degree and a teaching certificate so I have a back up and a job to fall back on.

My stomach twists and turns every time I think about it in a mixture of excitement and anxiety. I know nothing but this small town, I know given a few weeks I would adjust to Boston, but it still makes my head swim.

Have any of you ever decided to make a big move? What was it like? What did you wish people had told you in advance? How did you adjust?

I am looking for advice, since no one I know has ever made a big move like that. Any response is welcome, lol I just need some help!!

Thank ya'll in advance!
