I'm guessing your psychiatrist has heard of this problem before, so it's worth asking even though it's uncomfortable. (I had a "male thing" discussion with my woman psychiatrist once...she was telling me that trazodone is not for men, as you can get an erection that won't go away, and it happened to one of her patients!)
Several medications can cause priprisms. I experienced that from Prazosin. It's painful enough to seek medical attention in way less than 4 hours.
I pretty well expect it is the Aripiprazole. But the benefits in other ways makes me hesitant to change from that.
