Make that "mirror" just a symbol. I don't like what I see when I look in a real mirror because the face looking back at me is too dark from being out in the sun too long, it's too fat and it has scars. It's the "mirror" that you look into with your soul. The lady I see in THAT mirror isn't half bad although there's still a lot of rough edges to polish.
