I wanted to check in and ask how you and your son are doing...
It may be a very good idea to call his physician about the DSM he took.
Mixing OTC meds with prescribed drugs can cause some serious problems. At the very least, his pdoc needs to know about his taking it...it will help him with your sons' treatment protocol.
