Be aware, too, that boys can be odd creatures as their hormones come into full swing. As they start to have soft feelings for someone, esp. a "girl," at the same time that their hormones are telling them to "act like a man," they may run away from those soft feelings to the point of acting hard and harsh.

These feelings as we are involved in our first romantic attachments can be very strong and confusing. I don't envy you. I am glad all that emotional mayhem has leveled out for me -- even though sometimes I miss the roller-coaster excitement of it.

Do try to get busy with something you enjoy. Perhaps crafts activities with a club at a church or community center? A after-school group? Something to keep your mind occupied and your hands busy.
