Your Q asking why people aren't taking you seriously has me wondering. Are you referring to professionals or family and friends? Family and friends typically take what people say with a grain of salt. Not because their just a-holes (in many cases). Instead, they aren't professionals in that field and they're are unable to give an educated opinion about whether or not a person is full of beans or if they truly need help.

I highly recommend calling a helpline for emotional support. They really are very caring individuals, with degrees in psychology. All are trained to talk someone "down" without making the situation worse. Please give it a try now ~ best wishes
