Not to get to technical Michah, but lithium is actually in the class of alkali metals. These are defined as any of a group of soft, white, low-density, low-melting, highly reactive metallic elements, including lithium, sodium, potassium, rubidium, cesium, and francium. Heavy metals are elements with a high specific gravity, usually defined as over 5.0 including lead, mercury, copper, zinc and the like.
