I believe there is research that supports that exercise stimulates endorphins, a natural "feel good" brain chemical.

Other things that have worked -- at least a bit, sometimes --

Getting off white flour and refined sugar to the greatest extent that I can, even if I can't resist totally. These products rob our system of Vitamin B complex vitamins, so I also step up my consumption of these. I've found that brewer's yeast flakes (not powder) that dissolve well in juice give me the greatest, most immediate pick-me-up. Some brewer's yeast is bitter, but the flakes I prefer, available in health good stores, are sweet and have a "yeasty" flavor that I like. Perhaps it compensates for that yeasty flavor in the white breads, pastries and cookies I adore. You also can get B vitamins in pill form.

I know a multi-vitamin that can help -- but costs about $30 month to take. PM me and I'll find a link to web sales of it.
