Sorry to hear about your problems with lithium, but there are a number of different mood stablizers to try. No drug works for everyone, that's what makes all this so hard.

I think that Seroquel is the only drug that is FDA approved to treat both ends of the bipolar spectrum, though they could have added something else. At any rate, it has helped me dramtically. I still have enough problems to be disabled, but at least I don't want to hurt myself and my head doesn't feel like it's going to explode, so that's a good thing!
