Hi starlite. I can VERY much relate to your struggles with exercising and weight. I have been struggling with trying to lose weight for several years now. I tried several diet and exercise programs, but I couldn't stick with them because they were too much of a drastic change from my current lifestyle. It sounds like you have a similar situation...

To me, it sounds like your diet/exercise routine is too drastic a change for anyone to stick with. Three 1 cup meals a day? I don't know anyone who could do that without going crazy after 1-2 days! And the exercises you talk about doing sound very boring.. I couldn't motivate myself to do those on a regular basis either. My suggestion would be to take brisk walks daily as your exercise. 30-45 minutes of walking outside will not only get your blood pumping and calories burning, but will boost your mood and overall energy levels. Once you energy levels go up, you might feel up to switching these walks to jogs. As for eating, I would suggest you eat 5-6 smaller meals a day instead of the three meals a day you're currently doing. For example, instead of eating eggs, bacon and toast for breakfast, drag that meal out into 2 or 3 snack-size meals throughout the morning. You won't have to change your diet too drastically and it'll keep you from being hungry and binging. I've been using these techniques for about a month and a half and I've lost about 10 pounds. I'm 5'2" and went from 135 to 125 lbs.

One more thing... Do NOT beat yourself up if you have a bad diet/exercise day. Just take it in stride and get back to the routine the next day. Even if you have a WEEK of bad diet/exercise days, don't let it frustrate you. You can still lose weight and get in shape... Just get back to the routine no matter what. The results will come in time, but you have to keep at it. And of course you can post here and get all the support and encouragement you need!

Good luck!!!
Thanks for this!
