Is this book something that would interest a mystery/thriller writer?

Like is there information that could be worked into a plot?

What made you interested in the subject of the book.

I've bought several non-fiction books about a lot of forensic stuff, what motivates a criminal, one on police procedure/investigation, and private investigating. One called, Urge to Kill that I can't read. It is too dark for me to get into the mind of killers too much. At least I chose not to read it after I bought it, when my depression kicked up its ugly head. It is still here on my shelf waiting until I need some insights.
