Oh crap, Mal gets that static white noise stuff
ALL the time. That and hearing through it distant heavy-metal type music playing but tinny and distorted somewhat, along with the muffled whispers and clutter of voices which you can never make out what they say. This would be about the extent of actual AUDIBLE hallucinatory experiences, other than occasionally hearing a voice speaking one of our Names (VERY rare). Usually when Mal "hears voices" they would all be inaudible, interior ones through the same senses as one "hears" spirits or something. (Hallucinating through your sixth sense, lovely!)
Can sympathize with you about being considered an illness rather than a person, that really sucks. But look on the bright side. At least they legitimately consider you afflicted rather than trying to claim you to be just making it up to get attention or something. Which sucks miles long because then if they (the humans) start saying/believing/campaigning that crap about you, then they will start with other stuff, such as declaring that every time your perceptions about a situation or event differs from theirs, instead of differing they will say you have LIED about it.
