I know you have mentioned that you are without insurance and can not afford medications. Every county has a program, a sliding scale fee program for mental health services. Please call your local Social Services and they will direct you to the right place. Often times they will provide you with sample medications to get you through. In additional there are several options for reduced rates on prescriptions. There is something called www.needymeds.com. You may want to check that out. If your looking for something herbal, please go to your local nature store. The people that work there are very knowledgable about herbal remedies. St. John's Wart is something used for depression. Please make sure that you discuss this with the person at the store. They will point you in the right direction. Take care and please keep us posted.
