Hi! It's definately worth a trip to the doctor, as in your family MD. You can just ask your parents to take you because 'you're not feeling right'.
You can keep your privacy (momentarily) and share the results which create your concern with your doctor, at first. Ofcourse, if you are a minor they have
to consent-but this is one way to get around the initial panic and denial some parents experience. You have a healthy concern for yourself, and I
think you are already on the road to responsibility. Panic and denial may delay your securing treatment.
So many things (especially in females) can present like this disorder. You need your blood drawn for one, to be sure you are not experiencing metabolic or hormonal imbalance, or any other endocrinal problems.
Did you know, for example, if you do not supply your body with adequate amounts of a certain group of fatty acids on a daily basis, your brain can not manufacture the intricate balance of chemicals it needs? Nutrition, rest, exercise and awareness-when you think of the habits many of us have cultivated for years, it's easy to see why we're all feeling and thinking lousy.
Best wishes-I think your journey toward wholeness has started!
