HI, its reassuring to know someone who used to visit this site knows they can return ! We have not "met" as I am relatively new. IMHO - I would suggest an appt with your family Doctor to have your heart checked out. Women do not experience the same symptoms of heart problems as men, and what you are describing to me sounds like it "COULD" be physical. If it is not physical - and I hope it isnt!!!!!!!!!!!!! - then it just sounds like your panic attacks are now triggered by a sensation in your chest that causes you fear. I really have never heard of the anger and yelling , feeling like something in your chest snapped etc from people having panic attacks (I have a psych degree and work as in InVivo Therapist - but that certainly does not mean I know all there is to know about panic attacks ! )

Good luck and if this is your panic taking a different form, if you can deal with the "other panic you have experienced", use the same coping skills with this new sensation you are feeling, but I truly would suggest seeing a Doctor just to rule out a heart problem.
