Yes.... this is a reasonable request made by a certified doctor in the best interest of your wife's health (and) please know that you will make it through this difficult time sexual as my husband survived last summer when I had some female surgery done and intercourse was off limits for three whole months.

Please know there are other ways that both you and your wife can satisfied each other sexually that does not have to involve sexual intercourse... but only after a few weeks has passed giving time for your wife to recover from the birth and to regain her own sexual interest.
