Sodium valproate, a medication used in bipolar patients, has been shown in some studies to cause PCOS or should I say that there was a high rate of PCOS with ppl who took that drug.

I have bipolar and PCOS, I never took valproate but I have taken other drugs in that class. I dont know if there really is a connection, but I wouldnt be surprise if there was.

I should add that my biggest problem with my PCOS, is my weight gain and irregular periods. I hardly get periods so I have an abnormally thick uterine wall. I also have high prolactin levels so that may be it too.
