I agree with that!
But don't be too quick to move on. Variables change. The environment changes. What happens when you run your experiments a year from now?
I don't have a job either, and my parenting skills get criticized too. I try to be optimistic that my experiments with this changing environment will produce more favorable results a year or two down the road.
You should be proud of your accomplishments, but I don't believe you are a failure or a non-worthwhile person just because you are having trouble accomplishing things now.
Maybe you already know this, but (if you are in the US) there are some very effective generic psych drugs available at major chains like Wal-Mart and Target for $4 a month--such as lithium, Prozac, and Pamelor. Drugs don't solve everything, but they sure can get you moving again.
