I had an open abdominal surgery last August to repair a prolapsed rectum. Mostly it (prolapse) was due to chronic constipation (and prior childbirth and chronic cough---) I'm been told by the docs to stay on Mirilax --- plus I'm always watching my fiber intake. I really never want to go through a surgery like that again.

Hope the pulled muscle has improved by now. Take care,
