I believe our pets are one of the only things that keep us knowing what true love really is. I know how wonderful kitty cats are....I grew up with one from the time I was 5 until I was 22. My parents would only allow one pet......so he was my pet. He was quite a character however......maybe because I was young & he thought he could bully me....or maybe he was just getting even for the few times I would tease him.

I would sit playing the piano in the front room & he would sit under the dining room table.....way across the other side of the front room. All of a sudden, I would hear this sound of a running cat & he would come running right at my legs under the piano bench. I would jump up on top of the piano bench to keep from getting my legs scratched. He would do this almost everytime I would practice the piano.....maybe he didn't enjoy listening to the piano, or didn't like my playing...lol. He would also love to play that game other time....I would chase him & he would turn around & chase me up a chair in the family room & just sit there looking at me, daring me to come down...lol.

I loved him so much.....it was such a sad day when we had to have him put down at 17 when his kidneys failed......those little games were something I will never forget. When I first got him (I was 5) I would put him in the doll bed or carriage & run around the house with him....definitely nothing a dignified cat would accept.....but he put up with it......maybe that was all part of his chasing me....lol.

When I got married a few years later, I got twin tabby/siamese cats.....they were awsome.....brother/sister....orange looking siamese brother & the longhaired looking siamese sister (sammy & abby) I had them for almost 17 years & had them until I got my first eskimo dog. After that point, it was too hard to have cats & dogs, so I stuck with my eskies.....with a house full of show dogs, it made having cats impossible.

Now I have 6 of my eskie doggies living with me (the other 5 are living with my husband.....we are separated). I know they have done more to save my life & keep my sanity after I moved to be alone so far away (California to Kentucky). We all kept each other warm during the ice storm when the house was only 36F inside. We sunggled together to stay warm......if they all got along together, I would probably have all 6 with me all the time, but as it is, I have to keep them separated.

When I start sturing in the morning, all of a sudden, I have 3 tongues licking my face all at the same time. I have one eskie that is a toy....she will just jump through the air & land on top of me or jump right into my arms....gotta watch out for those flying eskies...lol. I know they have kept me going.....when I am all alone so I appreciate everything you explain about your cat.....there is nothing better than our pets.....they really are our children.
