You possibly nailed your problem right on the head with the above statement. Posting on a forum IMO is no different than texting/emailing. There is no body language/facial expressions/inflection of voice for anyone to go by when reading posted words.

It's quite possible that your post was taken out of your context when read. Although from what you have said here, it does sound like there could have been a better way to work through this on the moderators end of things. Then again, we don't know what their rules/guidelines are for posting and dealing with member issues either.
