Thank you everyone for the responses... I finally got some good sleep, about 12 hours, and that doesn't happen often. Sleep can be a good thing, but it can also be a scary place.
I got out of a hospital March 13, in Miami and within 3 weeks became homeless in a city where I didn't know anyone well enough to turn to for help. Thanks to one friend I made while I was there who did help me. She told me about this site. Hugs to her~!!
This experience of becoming homeless wasn't the first time in recent years, yet I hope it is the last.
I came to Colorado where I am now living with my brother in law who is a great guy, but I have never lived in such a small town. Not one single stop light, and the town itself is a little backwards . The "country store" actually says it's "The Jackass Cafe" outside, but is a store when you walk in. There are donkeys who roam the streets at their pleasure, this I guess is a tourist attraction, and from what I hear, don't feed em, cause they'll try to come into the house. I wonder if I truly woke up on planet earth when I wake up. I went from sea level to 9000 feet elevation in 7 days... a friend asked me if the donkeys are allowed to roam free at night, I told her yes and as far as I know the drunk ones are too~!!
I TRY to keep my sense of humor, and perhaps I am beginning to find it.
Anyway...
thanks again for the warm words of support and encouragement~!!
