Psych Central lives up to it's name. (((DocJohn)))
This is the place to come whether you are a professional seeking links or reviews on topics and research, or a seeker of self-improvement in mental health. Whether a care-giver or a care-needer, or both, one can find the support they need here. In fact, it's often the link "google" brings up when searching anything regarding (contemporary) psychology.
While no one really loves rules, it IS because the rules here are designed to keep members safe, and feeling safe from personal intrusion and attacks, that makes this the best support site in the internet. The community team generally help the member who breaks a guideline understand, while not invalidating their distress that probably caused the infraction.
The site is as professional as one can get and still cater to the general psychologically ailing populus.
