Gee I'm sorry for this experience you had... but, yes, there are ppl with problems all over the world, and in every group you find...especially one specifically for ppl with a problem...
I'm not in AA, and am not in need of it... but I was very disappointed with some "heads" of a local hospital group for AA. I was walking down the hallway of the secure ward, and it must have been time for the "required" AA group session for those on the ward... and he (and other comments by others) said, Ok all you drunks get your butts out here for a meeting!
I was appalled that humans were not being given any respect. I was more troubled when, even though I was just passing through and not hospital-attired ? he assumed I was part of the AA group and tried to force me into the meeting!
His errors... did nothing to lower me and who I am. Please try to realize that you are not what others think, and that you are great for working on a problem you have discerned!!!
