I've just quit drinking (it's only been 2 weeks I would get drunk every second day). The unexpected thing that appears to have is things look clearer, more interesting, intense alll the time (it's a little hard to explain).

Drinking made things much more interesting and intense while I was doing it but it seems like it was also making things seem more dull for a long time afterward.

Does this sound right?
Thanks for this!

congratulations, artie!!!! you bet i can understand what you mean. for me i had become so used to things being so dulled by drinking i forgot how beautiful everything really was. welcome back to the world, my friend, and good for you on your sobriety. it only gets better if we can stay away from that booze....one day at a time! keep us posted on your progress.

Thanks for keeping me sober by telling me that it doesn't get better out there...I'm sober one day at a time. Keep away from the booze....and you'll notice a whole new world....I have.
Thanks for this!
