hey everybody i was wondering if anybody could give me ome tips or pointers to stopping my dependence on Oxycodone and my need to smoke a pack a day its getting to the point where i need one of the two every few hours or i feel like dieing which i think means i have a serious problem.

I wish I could help you. My husband is struggling with smoking. He is waiting more time between each one. I know when I had to get off of meds that I was addicted to, the doctor had me do it slowly like a weaning process. Don't know if this helps.

I think you should consult a doctor how to gradually wean yourself off the Oxycodone. I've heard this drug is highly addictive and my brother was addicted to it. In addition taking painkillers, even simple tylenol can lead to kidney failure if a person takes it everyday. Don't try to cut out smoking and the Oxycodone at the same time. Please do get help for this and it's best to go to an addiction center.

thanks you guys but i have already ran out of pills and they were never mine to begin with and as for the smoking at least i got this to get me through the day and am a bit to ashamed to confess my dependence on the stuff to anybody i know i rather just go cold turkey and pretend it never happened besides whats the worst that can happen if i just stop?

thanks for the link TheByzantine but am going to stick with sigs until am done with my pill problem first one step at a time now

have you tried a smoke patch, thats what my mom and grandma used to quit.
