Hi everyone, I am hoping someone could help me to understand what is going on with me. I stopped taking vicodin 5 days ago because of my addiction to it. I started suboxone about 48 hours later. I am on 1.5 milligrams of suboxone a day. ( Very small amount). I am feeling very dizzy, tired , anxious, and have insomnia since starting the suboxone.
My therapist says these side effect should go away within 5 days of being on suboxone but it seems like there getting worse and it's already my third day on it.
Could these symptoms be withdrawl form vicodin or side effects of suboxone? Either way I was wondering how long this will last.
Thanks,
jdajda

well it might be a combo of the two i say wait and see if your therapist is right. however "Typically, Vicodin withdrawal symptoms may intensify for twenty-four to seventy-two hours and then gradually decline over a period of seven to fourteen days".

and the "symptoms of vicodin withdrawal restlessness, muscle pain, bone pain, insomnia, diarrhea, vomiting, cold flashes, goose bumps, involuntary leg movements, watery eyes, runny nose loss of appetite, irritability, panic, nausea, chills, and sweating".

i got all this info from http://www.addictionwithdrawal.com/drug-vicodin.htm so check it out if you need more info and good luck with the withdrawal and suboxone medication

Your dose is to low. Your therapist is an idiot. The minute you take about 4mg watch all your side effects go away in 20 minutes.
