Staying Clean:

Everybody thinks there is some sort of mysterious secret in staying clean and sober. You go to meetings and see all of the numerous slogans on the wall i.e. Keep It Simple; Easy Does It; One Day at a Time to name a few. These are the cornerstones of putting together sobriety but yet we have a tendency to screw it all up. The bottom line here is once you cross over from social usage to Alcoholism/Drug Addiction there is no turning back. Speaking for myself, I always wanted to think there was a way to use safely. Wow, now this is the wrong way to think because if you try to take on this disease and think you can beat it; think again because it is like taking on Godzilla himself. You Are Not Going To Win. Give yourself a break and do what you are supposed to be doing in terms of the program and you too will achieve sobriety. God Bless.

Thanks for this!
