I am addicted to cigarettes, chewing tobacco, beer, video games, the TV show house (really, if I don't watch it before bed I can't sleep), cheese and crackers before bed, diet pills, and tylenol (psychological, I know).

I've not been in a CD group before and haven't persued help, but are there treatments for general addictive personalities?

Perhaps your T when you start with him/her can express an opinion where to focus the therapy (I've not started with a T yet myself). Heartfelt good wishes for it.

Don't feel bad ~ I could get addicted to lint if I wasn't careful. Sheeesh. I too have a very addictive personality ~ I'm a recovering alcoholic/addict and I always have to be careful. I've been in and out of therapy all my life and it HAS done me a world of good.

It probably would be a good idea if you saw an addiction therapist. They're equipped to deal with all kinds of addictions. Best of luck and please let us know how you're doing from time to time, ok?? We really do care. God bless. Hugs, Lee
Thanks for this!
