I HATE you! I hate what you've done to me and my life. The happiness you give is a lie. You're the Devil, deceiver. You stole my pride, ruined my trust, made me sick and fat. You will not get any more from me. I used to love you and hate my life, now my eyes are open, after all you've done, I hate you and love my life. Good Riddance!
Thanks for this!

Good for you!! Sounds like you got sick and tired of being sick and tired! I'm a recovering alcoholic, and believe me -- life in sobriety is MUCH more fun than drinking EVER was!

Like "cutebagaddict" said, STAY STRONG. Go to AA if that idea appeals to you. AA saved my life !!!

I wish you the very best -- when I got sober, I wondered how I found the TIME to drink! I was busier than I ever was while drinking. God bless & take care. hugs, Lee

alcohol, the "repretitious creditor". in early sobriety it is most important to be ever vigilant. the "monkey on our shoulder" is always waiting.
your description is well put. alcohol will promise us the world and in actuality destroys us. even takes our soul.
i wish you well. sobriety has given me a new lease on life...and a wonderful life it is.
