Hi, I'm a 29 year old mother of 3 precious sons. I am secretly addicted to pain killers, oxy, perks, etc. I need help quitting without doin it cold turkey, I withdrawl terribly and I want to stop now! What kind of doctor do I talk to for help with this? And can they use the things I tell them against me? I have no family, only my sons and I just need help to be here for them. I don't want any1 to try to take them or tell them. Anybody know what I mean?

It depends are you getting them from a doctor? I would ck out some kind of drug programs in your area. As long as your boys are being cared for properly it should not be a problem.

a doctor cannot divulge info about you to anyone. a regular doc, gp or internist, can help you wean off these meds. don't try to stop on your own...dangerous reactions. if u're getting the meds from a doc, go to someone else or fess up to your current doc. so glad you want to do away with these drugs. you deserve a full life..something the drugs don't allow. keep us posted. hugs.

a psychiatrist would be a good idea. He/she might be able to prescribe other meds to help you thru the withdrawal.
