i noted that she references the NY times as well as psychology today magazine among others. i feel that makes her article more credible and in a more simplified version. being an alcoholic in recovery i was curious about other addictive personality traits i might have. perhaps this will be informative to others too.

Fortunately I don't have any addictive personality traits, but I did become addicted to harmful substances none the less.
I did have a MI before I started using drugs. And that may have had something to do with my addiction. Also there many, many probable causes that can lead one to become addicted to drugs.
