Ok, so I've over come cocaine addiction, cigarettes and weed. Now I've most recently started a more healthy lifestyle and lost 20 lbs over the past 6 months. So yesterday was thanksgiving. I had maybe like a couple sips of a half filled flute glass of champagne so I don't think I was drunk off alcohol. I had a bunch of food, buttery potatoes, succulent turkey, bacon and brussel sprouts and onions and stuffing and cranberry sauce and sweet potatoes with marshmallows and snack and dips & pie etc. I felt like I was intoxicated though- yet I basically didn't drink. I've had this feeling before after having a lot of food. I think 'cuz I've cut down a lot in terms of portion sizes and such, now it really is like an intoxication of sorts when I eat like that because my bodies not used to it; all the sugar and cream and butter and such. It makes sense, right? This is my last addiction I still have a semi-love/hate relationship with. I remember in highschool one of my friends said I had an addictive personality and I didn't know what that meant, but I sure do now. Anyone else experience feelings like this after eating food?

Yeah, I also had a similar feeling yesterday when I ordered and ate a whole large pizza by myself. It was gluttonous and I didn't eat eanything else but I felt like I was drunk. I was sitting on my couch watching tv and feeling like I used to back when I would smoke weed or something. Heavy minded- slow thinking. I'm really starting to believe what I heard a while back, that unhealthy food actually slows ones thought processes. I think also since I now normally eat healthy, such a drastic change in my diet severely affects me. It's basically immobalizing. I don't think I can do it again. Small portions all the way . . . (fingers crossed)

Food allergies can make people feel strange too. They will also make some people crave the food they are allergic to. I get a strange heart beat sometimes from foods. I have also felt drunk from food.
