hope my pic sizes are within guidelines. visual things always make a statement, imo.
i thought this article might help those who use meth or are considering using it. this is the section of the article i'm quoting below-
Quote:
One of the most striking effects of meth is the change in the physical appearance of meth users. Because meth causes the blood vessels to constrict, it cuts off the steady flow of blood to all parts of the body. Heavy usage can weaken and destroy these vessels, causing tissues to become prone to damage and inhibiting the body's ability to repair itself. Acne appears, sores take longer to heal, and the skin loses its luster and elasticity. Some users are covered in small sores, the result of obsessive skin-picking brought on by the hallucination of having bugs crawling beneath the skin, a disorder known as formication.
In addition, stimulants such as meth cause tremendous bursts of physical activity while suppressing the appetite, an attractive combination for many people who began using meth to lose weight. But while contemporary culture may idealize slim figures, heavy meth users often become gaunt and frail. Their day- or week-long meth "runs" are usually accompanied by tooth-grinding, poor diet, and bad hygiene, which lead to mouths full of broken, stained and rotting teeth.
While a meth high makes users feel more confident, attractive, and desirable, the drug is actually working to make them unattractive. "Some people I have in here over a hundred times, and I can look over a 10, 15, 20-year period and see how they've deteriorated, how
they've changed."

Wow that the most powerful picture I've seen and thank you for posting this. I really feel people need to see this and it should be on TV and public billboards. My brother in law who passed away in the summer was addicted to oxycontin and he deteriorated very fast in 5 yrs - he lost all his teeth and his face changed.

How sad. I watched my son transform like that. It's heartbreaking.

The thing is though, when they're using, they do NOT care about their looks.... or anything else for that matter.

Yeah I saw the change in my dad. Guess I can be thankful he was a meth addict, gave me reason to never want to touch it. Meth/crack/coke were the absolute worst things along with steroids that were ever put on this earth... For the users and the ones around the users...

....I was a binge meth addict for 16 years and thank GOD!!!
I could stop..

it killed my brain....re-wired everything and now I am not the same.

week long and very intense intraveinous meth abuse....sure did make me look SICK!!

ya get this constant tension in the face....a permanent frown...no sleep and no let up!!
the grinding and I picked holes in myself.
I KNEW that nothing was there.

But could I stop?
the visuals....the hyper-unreality
I climbed up a damn building one night....7 floors on the outside.

TWICE.

I could go on and on and on with the details.

I kept my teeth....I am a milk addict!

meth is evil!
methamphetamine
methylinedioximethamphetamine
amphetamine......it's evil
