I interviewed at a publishing company yesterday, and I asked the two interviewers what had made them decide to join the company. The head of HR said that he'd known people in publishing who had told him it was a good industry to work in. I asked him who and he said AI. I said, Oh I know her, we worked together at Pearson, she's great.
Now I'm worried that he may decide to give her a call and ask her what kind of employee I was. The thing is she knows all about my drinking problem, and while she doesn't know all the details of the settlement, she does know I left due to my drinking problem. I'm worried she might tell him that, and it'll knock me out of contention. splitimage |
