Hey guys!!
I just got back from Santa Clara for the All California Young People in AA Conference. It was absolutely amazing!!! There were 2000 young people at this conference. We took over this beautiful hotel, staying up all hours of the night, going to meetings, dancing, singing, swimming, fellowshiping, it was the best time! We drove up from Tucson, it was 14 hours there and like 16 hours back because we took the scenic route home. Being around 2000 young people having a great time SOBER was such an amazing experience. I met people from all over the country. Was awake for 43 hours straight at one point. So good to see that I can have the best times of my life without a drink. Just had to share. I'm so loving being sober! Oh yeah, I also celebrated 10 MONTHS SOBER on the 24th!!!!! ~Rayna

That is awesome Raynaadi, very very good. That's an accomplishment not many can achieve.
That sounded really fun, and sober!, that's great. That just proves to us addicts and alcoholics that life can be "high", without them. I've seen that scenic route too, it is beautiful. I'm really happy for you, envious too...lol. That's really great, and 10 months is awesome, you'll be getting your year chip soon. Thanks for posting that it's inspiring. Desirae

Rayna, I just wanted to take a moment to say, way to go girl!
It has been a pleasure to watch sobriety blossom in you. And oh, what a beautiful flower it is. I am very happy to have come to know you. Sometimes I get a little discouraged watching people who come so very close to a solution, just turn and walk away. But shining through all of that are people like you. The ones who walk right through their fears to the other side. Thanks Richard |

Thanks you two. I'm greatful that I have been given the gift of being blessed with a great life in sobriety, so that I can share that it really isn't the end of the world to give up booze/drugs. Hopefully I'll be able to show at least one person that life can absolutely ROCK sober! I couldn't ask for more. It's tripping me out that next month, I'll be picking up a year chip, HP willing. Wow!!!!!!

Nice to meet you Brian! I don't know if I'd use the words "going through" to describe what I'm experienceing lol. "Going through" sounds like something bad. Though there are definetly hard times, this past 10 months has been the best 10 months of my life! I have a life today that I never imagined. I always thought I wasn't good enough for a nice life. Bullsh*t!!! Haha, anyway, I'm still riding the energy from the conference, but I remind myself that this too shall pass.
