hey all,

hope this doesn't sound stupid. But now that I'm off booze, I can't stop eating sugars! Too much junk food and other garbage...

Are there good ways to deal with this?

Thank You,

Brontoset

Hmmm. I've heard that people who quit smoking can sort of substitute food, so maybe you're doing the same kind of thing. For one thing, it gives your hands and mouth something to do.

Maybe switch to some sweets that aren't as fattening and last longer, like hard candy or other junk food that isn't as bad, such as popcorn with less butter, but just a bit of sugar? Maybe you can explore the sweets that people use when dieting......

Hope that might help some!

They say sugar is chemically like booze without the buzz. Kinda makes sense then.

You're craving the sugar because your body needs it right now. Booze contains LOADS of sugar, and now that you're not getting it, the body is crying out for some. You're actually having a form of withdrawals.

Eat chocolate. It does help with this craving. Don't go overboard, but it helps with the craving for booze and sugar both. So keep chocolate around to help with both.

I wish you the very best. Take care and God bless. Hugs, Lee
