long time alcoholic and pill user. was clean for 12 yrs then past yr and a half back at it. I have tapered off but it's still there. have a lot of feelings of hopelessness and i have been coping by resurrecting my once-active music performing and composition. not currently suicidal that has been a while but i just dont like life or this world very much

Hi Beamto, welcome to psych Central forums

Are you getting any support/therapy for your addiction issues?

I myself have been clean from drugs (my issue) for 14 years
