Hi,
I'm sorry if this post doesn't belong here. I just wanted to know if anyone could let me know about something regarding how someone behaves when drinking. I am just wondering if alcohol allows people to say what they really feel. My boyfriend binge drinks and sometimes says really mean things to me when he's drunk. He tends to say the worst possible things he can-like points out the things that I hate most about myself and am most ashamed of. So I wonder if these things are what he really thinks of me or if the alcohol turns on the aggressive part of his brain and since there isn't anyone else to pick a fight with he picks one with me. Thank You for your help Misfit |

Yes, it comes from somewhere, the things that come out of his mouth when his inhibitions are down.
He sounds like a mean drunk. I wouldn't expect that to get better or change. He becomes verbally abusive. Wouldn't it be nicer if he were a happy drunk? Either way,...Ah, the brain cells he kills and can never get back...pity. You could take video and ask him about it when he is sober. That might not go over too well, showing him he is a jerk. The mistake you made is to give him Any Ammunition, so please my dear, don't say anything negative about yourself in front of him...um, like Ever Again. ![]() And don't allow yourself to be a target, because you don't deserve that, no one does. Take a cab home if you have to. Stupid stuff when drunk is one thing, mean is something else. ![]()
