This is one of those good thing / bad thing situations that has me a bit confused. Yesterday I got a letter from the grapevine saying that I'd been given a gift subscription from Robert H. I'm pretty sure this is the Roger who attends the friday night meeting I go to regularly but it kind of bugs me that he got my last name and address. Only 2 people know those - my sponosor and my home group's secretary so it's kind or bothering me that on the basis of knowing my first name and my home group he was abel to get my address. I know it was meant kindly but it does kind of go against "practicing annonymyty in all our affairs."

Ask him if it was him. If it was him ask him how he got your info. You have the right to be as anonymous as you want to be.

This is a new one for me, I have given gift subscriptions myself, but I always got the address from the recipients themselves.

Like you said, a little bit good and a little bit not so good.

Hmmm, yeah I think I'd have to talk to him about it and let it know that it bothred you, find out where he got the info from, and let that person know that you would rather it not be shared.

Golly! I would be all freaked out if this happened to me. And i would wonder if he is a predator.I would feel so violated at the though that someone gave him some private information about me and broke the privacy code.Gosh! I hope that these are not any of the cases I have mentioned.I f I were you I would stay on my guard because it might be some drama I could live without. What is your gut telling you?
