I'm a bipolar person and I think I'm escalating my addictions. I started with food, and still love that, whenever I get frustrated with life I say who cares, I'm gonna eat what I want. After gaining a ton of weight, finally decided to go on a strict diet, which. worked really well, but without the food release I switched to cigarettes. Then was prescribed clonopin, so took those whenever. Fell off the diet, gained back the weight, went back on the diet and now grab for oxycodone whenever I'm not feeling well. I just don't know where to start to stop my cycle of self destruction. I know its a problem, but don't feel like I have the energy to care.

(((whim)))

Yes, I have what I call some "bad habits" so I can relate to what you have written.

I found this article to be very interesting.

I really like the author's thinking on this one:

"You don’t eliminate a bad habit, you replace it."

That's great.

Have a read and see what you think:

How to Break a Bad Habit (and Replace It With a Good One)
