So I'm day 4 without smoking marijuana. I know I've said I'm stopping before but this time I actually want to with a level of determination I haven't had before. I also know this isn't quite the hardest addiction to kick (I have quit using meth but oddly with less difficulty?). I am using more of my clonazepam & some olanzapine & seroquel I have from previous prescriptions but so far doing well. Right now I'm not so comfortable though. I almost think it's the bong, so I've just been smoking tobacco through it & I think that kindof helps with the habit side of the cravings. Anyone have any tips on how they managed?

Hey nice to see you!!! Either I've been away or you have lol. I wouldn't say I have a pot addiction but I do partake with my bf sometimes. I notice that if I don't have it sometimes it's hard to sleep. With any addiction comes that mental struggle. Hell, I'm bulimic and if I'm craving something I can't have my anxiety goes nuts. I'm addicted to food. I like to say I'm a 300lb person in a 100lb body lol. As I posted in here, my bf ran out of his pot the other day and threw a tantrum. He had anxiety and was so distraught he took my klonopin and slept all day. So I got to see first hand that even pot can be hard to quit. So I feel for you!! I'm always a PM away if you need to vent.

hey, i'm somewhere about 3 months in with my quitting MJ habit.i had quit smoking tobacco at the same time so my advice might not help for you. fist off it got ALOT better and easier 2 weeks in. couldn't fall asleep or had this weird feeling throughout my body and my stomach was also feeling weird.

drinking loads of water, tea aswell, helped with the stomach a bit. also very vivid dreams will hit you like 2 weeks in and will become less vivid again after that so be prepared for that.

here's my thread i made on these forums, could have better advice fo you there.

I've been absent for a while mainly because I'm feeling stable. I've posted on your thread about your boyfriend. Great to speak with you again!

Does your pdoc know you are trying to stop smoking weed? I take Wellbutrin (bupropion) for SAD and I found it helped me smoke less weed. It is sometimes prescribed to help tobacco smokers stop smoking.

I can usually drop the boo after a few days' cold turkey, during which the withdrawal makes me an irritable jerk, barely noticeable from my baseline personality of an irritable jerk. I've been contemplating stopping permanently, as there's no evidence that long-term, high-volume use (licensed and legal, thanks) has done me any good.

It's probably not medically recommended, but I did it for years.

I smoked again on Saturday/Sunday on a night out in which I also drank a lot & used cocaine (not much). So I suppose I'm back to 3 days sober.
