I wouldn't say cures...but it has been easing mine.
I laugh a lot for about 3 hours and then I come down...and depression comes back.

I suppose if I smoked all day....I would be ok..
But, if it cures your depression...I say good....and enjoy!

It definitely relieves my depression temporarily. The anxiety though,it depends. Some has given me instant anxiety and panic attacks, which is so miserable.

I used to smoke daily, pretty much all day long, but I have found that actually using it medicinally helps much better. Now I only smoke when I can no longer tolerate the anxiety or when my PTSD symptoms are in high gear.

I struggle with this issue...my daughter is a recovering heroin/opioids addict. She has suffered with anxiety since she was 11. In and out of therapy, using drugs to self medicate. She now only smokes marijuana, and it really helps! Am I awful condoning this? I am told Addict's can't use ANYTHING!! Yet, I turn a blind eye to her pot use. (I know she's an adult, and I can't control anything she uses now, but I can tell her not to do it in my house)

I tried light to heavy use of marijuana and THC. It's just not for me. Makes me feel a bit anxious no matter how much or how long I smoke and makes me feel dull and depressed where I can't acknowledge music or the lyrics when I listen to music.

I give up on it. I thought it could help me but it doesn't unfortunately.

The first time I smoked it, I was just starting Abilify and it made me laugh so much and I could see pretty colours and stuff and had a huge creativity but maybe it's the Abilify blocking it's effects now that it's built up heavy in my blood I don't know.

I have 2 sons that are addicts and marijuana helps them also.I don't think you are awful because you are condoning it,if it can keep them off the other stuff I would gladly rather see them smoke weed everday, all day long!

They have tried suboxone but ended up addicted to it also.Weed isn't addictive(mentally it is),there's no withdrawls, and isn't going to kill them like heroin can.

Hi..my son was addicted to heroin...I would WISH he would smoke pot instead..I used to offer to BUY him pot...I'm sure I did give him money for it...but I doubt it was used for that....I WISH (again).

My youngest has smoked pot for as long as I can remember...nothing to do with his brother because his brother was awful to him....(so bad, that if I saw them smoking a joint together i would cry in happiness).

I'm trying to ease your mind. It is becoming legal in state by state. I know that as far as my boys they wanted to try it I guess when they were around friends...I don't think they smoked it because we had a very dysfunctional family.

I know my youngest son JUST ENJOYS it...doesn't abuse it..He has a huge anger problem although he will never admit it...he NEEDS medication for psyche...but he will never admit...and he is too scary when mad to confront..BUT, when he smokes pot....you can tell...he comes up with a big glistening smile on his face (only way to describe it)....and you NEVER see that smile when he is not smoking..and I LOVED that.

He has never used anything else...so as far as leading to drug use...not true for EVERYONE...and possibly an EXCUSE for some!

Don't worry about it..feel blessed....my oldest has almost DIED at least 5 times from heroin.

I have almost died at least 5 times in the last year with alcohol.

And my youngest...keeps smiling with his pot use (I'm sure, don't see him much).
